The Research Center for Smart Mechatronics, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), proudly presents the 2nd International Conference on Smart Mechatronics (ICSMech 2026) in collaboration with Telkom University, themed “Empowering Smart Mechatronics Innovations: Robotics, AI, and Intelligent Systems for a Connected Intelligent World.” Scheduled in a hybrid format from 9–11 June 2026, the conference will be hosted in Bandung, Indonesia, known as the “Paris of Java” for its historical architecture, scenic surroundings, and vibrant cultural scene.
ICSMech is designed to foster impactful collaborations, inspire knowledge exchange, and accelerate groundbreaking innovations by connecting global researchers, industry professionals, and practitioners. Key topics covered include Robotics and System Intelligence, Autonomous Vehicles and Smart Machines, Dynamics Control and System Modeling, Intelligent Instrumentation and Embedded Systems, Biomechatronics and Smart Medical Systems, and Information Systems for Mechatronics.
The conference aims to facilitate international knowledge exchange, promote academic and industry networking, encourage collaborative research, enable publication of high-quality findings, and enhance visibility for researchers and their contributions.

Thank you for considering submitting your work to ICSMech 2026. Below are the guidelines and instructions for submitting your paper. Please ensure that you adhere to these guidelines to facilitate the review process.
- Paper Formatting:
- Papers must be formatted according to the IEEE template, which can be downloaded from https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
- Papers must be in PDF format.
- Maximum paper length is 4-6 pages, including figures, tables, and references.
- Language:
- Papers must be written in English (American spelling).
- Originality:
- Submissions must represent original work not previously published or under review elsewhere.
- Plagiarism:
- Plagiarism in any form is not tolerated and will lead to immediate rejection of the submission.
- The similarity score that is deemed acceptable must be under 25%.
- Paper Formatting:

- All authors must register on the EDAS submission system (https://edas.info/N34156) before submitting a paper.

- Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email
- Registration:
- Submitted papers will under go a rigorous peer-review process by experts in the field
- Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors by the notification date specified below.
- Please be advised that we adopt IEEE no-show policy for non-presented paper (source: IEEE-Handling of Non-Presented Papers). IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEEXplore Digital Library, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
- Only papers that have been presented at the conference and corrected according to reviewer(s) suggestion will be considered to be included in the final proceedings for submission and possible inclusion in IEEE Xplore digital library (Scopus indexed), but there is no guarantee that the content will be published in Xplore® and indexed in Scopus.
- Selected papers will be recommended for publication in reputable journals such as Journal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology (MEV)
- Accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors
