Research Center For Smart Mechatronics, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) organizes the 1st International Conference on Smart Mechatronics (ICSMech 2024) – “Transformative Innovations in Smart Mechatronics: Bridging AI, Robotics, and IoT for a Sustainable Future“. the ICSMech 2024 conference will be held hybrid (offline and online) from 19th – 21th November 2024 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. International conferences in mechatronics play a vital role in fostering collaboration, disseminating knowledge, and advancing the field by providing a platform for researchers and professionals to connect, share ideas, and stay informed about the latest developments in mechatronics. Therefore, the objectives of the 1st International Conference on Smart Mechatronics 2024 are as follows: Knowledge Exchange, Networking, Research Collaboration, Publication, Visibility and Recognition. The 1st International Conference will be covered advanced smart mechatronics topic and applications, including Intelligent Instrumentation System, Bio-mechatronics, Intelligent Dynamics System And Autonomous System.

Conference Paper Submission Guidelines

Thank you for considering submitting your work to ICSMech 2024. Below are the guidelines and instructions for submitting your paper. Please ensure that you adhere to these guidelines to facilitate the review process.

Submission Requirements: 

    1. Paper Formatting:
      • Papers must be formatted according to the IEEE template, which can be downloaded from https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
      • Papers must be in PDF format.
      • Maximum paper length is 4-6 pages, including figures, tables, and references.
      • Authors can add max 2 extra page for an additional charge of 100 USD
    2. Anonymous Review:
      • All Submissions must
    3. Language:
      • Papers must be written in English (American spelling).
    4. Originality:
      • Submissions must represent original work not previously published or under review elsewhere.
    5. Plagiarism:
      • Plagiarism in any form is not tolerated and will lead to immediate rejection of the submission.
      • The similarity score that is deemed acceptable must be under 25%.

      • Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email

Review Process:

    1. Submitted papers will under go a rigorous peer-review process by experts in the field
    2. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors by the notification date specified below.
    3. Please be advised that we adopt IEEE no-show policy for non-presented paper (source: IEEE-Handling of Non-Presented Papers). IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEEXplore Digital Library, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
    4. Only papers that have been presented at the conference and corrected according to reviewer(s) suggestion will be considered to be included in the final proceedings for submission to the IEEE Xplore digital library (Scopus indexed), but there is no guarantee that the content will be published in Xplore® and indexed in Scopus.
    5. Selected papers will be recommended for publication in reputable journals such as Journal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology (MEV) and Journal of Robotics and Mechatronics (JRM).

Presentation Guidelines:

    1. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors
    2. Details regarding presentation format and scheduling will be provided upon acceptance

  • Each presenter has a total of 15 minutes including presentation and Question and Answer session;
  • Feel free to use any presentation template/format that suits your preferences;
