In an era where data is generated at an unprecedented scale, transforming raw data into meaningful knowledge has become a key challenge and opportunity. The convergence of Open Linked Data, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers innovative approaches to extracting insights, enhancing decision-making, and driving technological advancements across various domains. Within this context, Research Center for Data and Information Sciences, BRIN, organizes the 11th International Conference on Computer, Control, Informatics and its Applications (IC3INA) 2025 with the theme:

“From Data to Knowledge: The Convergence of Open Linked Data, Big Data, and AI”.

The IC3INA 2025 provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to explore the integration of these technologies, share cutting-edge research, and discuss future trends. Key topics include data interoperability, knowledge representation, machine learning-driven analytics, and the ethical implications of AI in data-driven environments.

This year, the IC3INA 2025 will be held as a hybrid conference and broadcast live from Jakarta, Indonesia, on 15 and 16 October 2025. This conference will be held with sponsorship from the IEEE Indonesia Section. Currently, the proceedings of IC3INA 2025 are also planned to be published by IEEE in the same year, 2025.

However, there is no guarantee that the content will be published in Xplore® and indexed in Scopus.

    Prof. Setia Pramana, S.Si, M.Sc, Ph.D,

Polytechnic Statistics, Jakarta, Indonesia

Topic : Sensitivity analysis for unmeasured confounding in observational studies

Prof. Setia Pramana, S.Si, M.Sc, Ph.D, is a Professor of Statistics at Politeknik Statistika STIS, Jakarta, and currently serves as the Vice Director of Academic Affairs at the institution. He is actively involved in international and national data science initiatives, including as a Program Committee member of the UN Regional Hub of Big Data and Data Science for Asia and the Pacific, a member of the United Nations Statistics Division Data Science Leader Network, and a member of the Technical Advisory Group on Applications of Big Data and Data Science for Gender Data Gaps at UN Women. With a strong background in statistical bioinformatics, he earned his Ph.D. from Hasselt University, Belgium, after completing dual M.Sc. degrees in Biostatistics and Applied Statistics. His research expertise spans medical epidemiology, biostatistics, and big data analytics, further enriched by his experience as a postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. Previously, he led Indonesia’s Big Data team at BPS Statistics Indonesia and contributed significantly to statistical modeling development. Prof. Setia also holds adjunct faculty positions at the University of Indonesia and the University of Syiah Kuala and is actively involved as a committee member for the Transfer and Use of Information and Data Content Materials at the Ministry of Health of Indonesia.

    Muhammad Yudhi Rezaldi, M.Ds., Ph.D.

Topic : Utilization of Virtual Realty in the COVID-19 Situation

Muhammad Yudhi Rezaldi, M.Ds., Ph.D. , obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design from Pasundan University, Bandung, in 2004. He pursued his Master’s degree in Design at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), graduating in 2013, and later earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science/Visual Informatics from the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2020. Currently, he is an Associate Researcher in the Human-Computer Interaction and Visualization (HCIV) research group at the Data and Information Science Research Center, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). His research interests include 2D/3D visualization, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and related fields. He has published over 25 international papers indexed in Scopus, Web of Science (WOS), and SINTA, contributing to advancements in his areas of expertise.

    Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D

Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia

Topic : Cognitive science

 Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D, is a distinguished cognitive scientist from Indonesia, currently serving as the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University in 2004, graduating magna cum laude with Highest Honors. She then pursued a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at Northwestern University, which she obtained in 2010. Following her doctoral studies, Prof. Christie conducted postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia in Canada. She then joined Swarthmore College in the United States as an Assistant Professor in 2012 and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2018. In the same year, she moved to Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, where she became a Professor in 2022. At Tsinghua, she holds multiple roles, including Research Chair at the Tsinghua Laboratory of Brain and Intelligence, Director of the Child Cognition Center, and Professor in the Department of Psychology.

Prof. Christie’s research focuses on the “Relational Mind,” exploring how cognitive systems learn and understand the relationships and structures of the world. Her work involves behavioral studies with young children and great apes, aiming to uncover similarities and differences in relational cognition between humans and other animals. She is particularly interested in how relational reasoning is influenced by language, culture, and social interactions. In recognition of her contributions, she was nominated for the James McDonnell Understanding Human Cognition Award in 2016. Beyond her academic pursuits, Prof. Christie is multilingual, speaking five languages, and enjoys activities such as mountain climbing.

    Dr. Kyong-Ha Lee
 Principal Researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI)

Topic : Generative AI and AI for Science

 Dr. Kyong-Ha Lee, is a Principal Researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), where he currently serves as the Director of the Large-Scale AI Research Center. In addition, he holds a faculty position in the Applied AI program at the University of Science and Technology (UST), Korea. Dr. Lee is actively engaged in numerous academic societies and national advisory bodies in South Korea. His roles include serving as a Board Member of the Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers (KIISE), Executive Director of the Data Society, Member of the Defense Future Technology Strategy Subcommittee, and Member of the AI Committee at the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST). He possesses a strong academic and research background in computer engineering, with particular expertise in database systems and big data platforms. Dr. Lee earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Chungnam National University in Korea. He has also gained valuable international experience as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Arizona, USA, and as a research professor at KAIST. His recent research focuses on the development of large-scale generative language models and techniques for “AI for Science”, through which he is playing a leading role in advancing national initiatives in AI-powered scientific research

Topic : Federated Learning – a privacy preserving machine learning approach

Prof. Bernardo Nugroho Yahya is a Full Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea, with over two decades of academic and industrial experience in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and business process management. He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Pusan National University and has led numerous international research projects, including those funded by the Korean Government and the European Union. His current research focuses on federated learning, human activity recognition, and sensor-based analytics. Prof. Yahya is a recipient of multiple Best Paper Awards and holds several patents related to AI and behavior analysis. He is an IEEE Senior Member and an active contributor to the global research community through publications, editorial boards, and program committees.

9. Copyright – The IEEE e-Rights Grid (or the article/author information on the e-Rights Form) to ensure that the title, authors, and email address are accurate. As the completed forms are a contract between IEEE and the authors, we must have the correct information within the form before IEEE can publish the article.

According to IEEE policy, each paper must be presented by one author of the paper. Therefore, if your paper is accepted, one of the authors is required to register and present their paper at the IC3INA 2025 conference.

How to get the Venue

The conference will take place at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), located at Jl. Gatot Subroto No. 10, Central Jakarta, a strategic area in the heart of Indonesia’s capital city. The venue is well-connected and easily accessible via various modes of transportation, both from within Jakarta and from other major cities. For international and domestic participants arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK)—commonly referred to as Cengkareng and served by major airlines worldwide—several convenient routes are available to reach BRIN Gatot Subroto.

• By Airport Bus or Shuttle Minibus, Several airport shuttle services and public buses operate from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) to various destinations in Jakarta, including areas near Jl. Gatot Subroto, where the BRIN office is located. While there is no direct shuttle to the BRIN complex, passengers may take a DAMRI bus or other shuttle service to central Jakarta locations such as Blok M, Gambir Station, or Semanggi, and then continue the journey using a taxi or online transportation service (e.g., Grab or Gojek). Depending on traffic, the total travel time may range from 45 to 90 minutes. Updated information on routes and fares can be accessed through websites such as Redbus or Traveloka.
• By Train, From Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), passengers may take the Airport Rail Link (Railink) to BNI City Station in Central Jakarta. The train operates regularly throughout the day, with a travel time of approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at BNI City Station, Upon arrival at BNI City Station, participants may cross to the Tosari 3 TransJakarta bus stop and board Corridor 9D (Pinang Ranti–Pluit via Semanggi). Alight at the Widya Chandra (Telkomsel) stop, which is conveniently located near the BRIN office on Jl. Gatot Subroto. From there, the venue is within walking distance.This multimodal route offers an efficient and affordable way to reach the venue, though passengers are advised to account for potential traffic and walking time between transfers.
• For a convenient and direct option, participants may take a taxi or use ride-hailing services such as Grab or Gojek from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) to the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) located on Jl. Gatot Subroto No. 10, Central Jakarta. The journey typically takes between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Taxis are available at designated counters in each terminal of the airport, while ride-hailing pickups can be arranged via mobile apps from specific pickup zones.
