Asrul Izam Azmi is an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in Malaysia. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, in 2012. He joined the UTM, as a Tutor, in 2002, where he is currently a Senior Lecturer. He has been appointed as the Head of the Lightwave Communication Research Group, UTM, since 2014. He then joined Jurutera Budiman (M&E) Sdn Bhd Consultant Firm from September 2017 to November 2018. He went to Harbin Engineering University as a Visiting Researcher in March and July 2019. His research work emphases on development of various fiber sensing techniques and its applications.
Iyad Dayoub is a Professor of communications engineering at Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF). He received the B.Eng. degree in telecommunications and electronics in Syria, in 1993, the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL), and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Valenciennes and the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN), in 2001. He worked as a System Engineer with Siemens, Middle East; and a Researcher with Alcatel Business Systems, Alcatel, Colombes, Paris. He was an Adjunct Professor with Concordia University, Montreal, from 2010 to 2014. He is currently a Professor of communications engineering. His current research activities at IEMN, Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF) and INSA H-d-F are focused on wireless communications, high-speed communications, cognitive radio, and hybrid radio-optic technologies. He was a member of the National Council of Universities (CNU), France, from 2007 to 2014, in the area of electrical engineering, electronics, photonics, and systems. He is a member of several international conference advisory committees, technical program committees, and organization committees, such as VTC, GLOBECOM, ICC, PIMRC, and WWC.
Kenshu Seto is an Associate Professor of Research and Education Institute for Semiconductors and Informatics at Kumamoto University in Japan. He received his B.S. in electrical engineering, M.S. and D. Eng. in electronics engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1997, 1999 and 2004, respectively. From 2004 to 2006, he was a researcher at VLSI Design and Education Center (VDEC), the University of Tokyo. Prior to joining Kumamoto University in 2023, he was with Tokyo City University. His primary research interests include VLSI design.
Josaphat Tetuko Sri Sumantyo is a Professor of remote sensing at Chiba University and Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Kanazawa University, Japan in 1995 and 1997, respectively (Subsurface Radar Systems) and the Ph.D. degree in Artificial System Sciences (Applied Radio Wave and Radar Systems) from Chiba University, Japan in 2002. He was an Associate Professor (permanent staff) at the Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS), Chiba University from 2005 to 2013, then Full Professor (permanent staff) at the same center from 2013 to now. His main interests are theoretically scattering microwave analysis and its applications in microwave (radar) remote sensing, especially synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and subsurface radar (VLF) including DInSAR and PS-InSAR, analysis and design of antennas for mobile satellite communications and microwave sensors, development of microwave sensors including SAR for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and microsatellite development. He manages Josaphat Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (JMRSL), Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS), Chiba University, Japan.
