The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) (Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional) is the sole authorized research institution of the Republic of Indonesia, established in 2021 under Presidential Regulation No. 78/2021, is the country’s sole authorized research institution operating directly under the President. BRIN integrates governmental research bodies and oversees research, development, innovation, nuclear energy, and outer space administration. The agency seeks to strengthen Indonesian research capacity by consolidating science and technology resources while fostering collaboration among academia, industry, communities, and government sectors to support the vision of Advanced Indonesia 2045.

Among BRIN’s twelve research organizations is the Research Organization for Health, dedicated to addressing national and global health challenges aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Continuing its commitment to international collaboration, the organization will host the 3rd International Conference 2026 themed “Advancing Health Security: Equity and Preparedness for Future Challenges” on September 15–16, 2026, promoting knowledge exchange, resilient health systems, interdisciplinary partnerships, and scientific publication opportunities for researchers, scholars, practitioners, and public health stakeholders.
