1st International Symposium on Eastern Indonesian Marine Ecosystems (1st ISEIME 2022)

Marine ecosystems have been recognized as an important ecological service that contributes to massive benefits for human beings such as economics, health, sciences and technologies. Eastern Indonesian seas have been vital in advancing global marine research with their mega biodiversity in the Coral Triangle and are situated in the Indo-Pacific Warm Pool region. During the past 5 years, many studies and research were conducted in the eastern Indonesia part by local or international researchers. Evaluation of the First Symposium on Banda Sea Ecosystem (ISBSE) held by the Research Center for Deep-Sea (then under the Indonesian Institute of Sciences-LIPI) in 2017 indicated the need to expand the geographic coverage areas of the symposium, thus leading to the initiative of this symposium’s organization. This symposium's objective is to gather all coastal-marine scientists and observers to meet and share their knowledge and recent information regarding marine ecosystems in eastern Indonesia.
We cordially invite researchers, students, practitioners, and observers to join and disseminate their findings in our 1st International Symposium on Eastern Indonesian Marine Ecosystems (1st ISEIME). Research papers and ideas related to the theme and topic of interests are welcome. The Research Center for Deep-sea, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Indonesia is hosting the symposium to gather all aspects related to the theme that not only increase the number of research publications but also enrich points of recommendations for the local and central government.
