In an era of explosive volumes of data, the fusion of informatics, predictive analytics, and computing stands as a beacon of transformative potential. The innovation landscape is undergoing a paradigm shift driven by the strategic utilization of data to inform decision-making processes. Within this context, Research Center for Data and Information Sciences, BRIN, organizes the 11th International Conference on Computer, Control, Informatics and its Applications (IC3INA) 2024 with the theme:
“Data-driven Innovation: Informatics in Predictive Analytics and Computing”.
The IC3INA 2024 aims to delve into the intricate intersections of informatics, predictive analytics, and computing, exploring how the symbiotic relationship among these domains propels innovation across diverse industries.
This year, the IC3INA 2024 will be held as a hybrid conference and broadcast live from Bandung, Indonesia, on 9 and 10 October 2024. This conference will be held with sponsorship from the IEEE Indonesia Section. Currently, the proceedings of IC3INA 2024 are also planned to be published by IEEE in the same year, 2024. However, there is no guarantee that the content will be published in Xplore® and indexed in Scopus.

Woojoo Lee, PhD

Topic : Sensitivity analysis for unmeasured confounding in observational studies
Woojoo Lee is an Associate Professor at Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Public Health, renowned for his contributions to statistical research in public health and epidemiology. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Seoul National University in 2010, after completing his Bachelor of Science in Physics in 2003. Following his doctoral studies, Lee pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the Karolinska Institutet’s Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics from 2010 to 2012, where he further refined his expertise. Lee’s research spans various critical areas, including causal inference, meta-analysis, medical statistics, epidemiological methods, multivariate analysis, mixed models, and nonstandard likelihood asymptotics. His work addresses complex challenges in public health research, ranging from elucidating causal mechanisms behind diseases to synthesizing evidence for healthcare interventions and policies. Through his dedication to advancing statistical methodologies and mentorship of students, Lee’s impact extends beyond academia, making significant strides toward improving global health outcomes.

Topic : Road Environment Understanding from Traffic Signs Detection and Road Conditions Using Deep Learning Methodology
RUNG-CHING CHEN received the B.S. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1987, the M.S. degree from the Institute of Computer Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, in 1990, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Department of Applied Mathematics, National Chung Hsing University, in 1998. Prof Rung-Cheng Chen is currently a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Information Management at Chaoyang University of Technology, Taichung, Taiwan. He is listed in the Top 2% of Scientists Worldwide in A.I. by Stanford University. His research concerns include network technology, pattern recognition, knowledge engineering, the Internet of Things, data analysis, and artificial intelligence.

Topic: Fraud Investigation and Detection using Graph AI
Amanah Ramadiah is a Data Science Lead at FNA who leads the delivery and development of Supervisory Technology (Suptech) solutions for central banks in the Asia-Pacific region. At FNA, she co-developed an agent-based simulation of Central Bank Digital Currencies. Currently, she is an adjunct faculty member at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia. She enjoys doing interdisciplinary research at the interface between computer science, finance, and economics. Her research interests are systemic risk, financial stability, and digital money. In the past, She was a visiting scholar at the Bank of England and the International Monetary Fund. She holds a PhD in Financial Computing from University College London, an MSc in Financial Risk Management from University College London, and a BSc in Computer Science from Universitas Indonesia.
Dr. Abel Armas Cervantes

Topic : Unleashing the Power of Process Mining for Data-Informed Process Improvements
Abel Armas Cervantes is a Lecturer at the School of Computing and Information Systems at The University of Melbourne. Previously he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Queensland University of Technology, where he was part of the Business Process Management Group. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science, as well as his Master’s in Software Engineering from the University of Tartu. His research expertise encompasses diverse domains, focusing on business process analytics, process mining, and social network analysis. At present, Abel is actively engaged in research that centers around the development of process mining tools and techniques for education. His primary objective is to analyze data extracted from learning management systems, employing extracted insights to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

Topic : Machine Speech Chain: A Deep Learning Approach for Modeling Human Speech Perception and Production with Auditory Feedback Mechanism for Low-Resource Languages
Sakriani Sakti is a distinguished researcher currently serving as the head of the Human-AI Interaction (HAI) Research Laboratory at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST). She serves as a full professor at NAIST and adjunct associate professor at the Japan Advance Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in Japan. Additionally, she is a visiting research scientist at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligent Project (RIKEN AIP) in Japan and an adjunct professor at the University of Indonesia. Prof. Sakti has had a remarkable academic journey, earning her Ph.D. in 2008 and actively participating in international collaboration activities, including research projects and leadership roles within organizations related to speech technology and under-resourced languages. Her extensive research interests encompass deep learning, graphical model framework, statistical pattern recognition, machine speech chains, zero-resourced speech technology, multilingual speech recognition and synthesis, social-affective dialog systems, and cognitive communication. She is a prominent figure in the field of human-AI communication and collaborative intelligence. With a distinguished career marked by academic achievements, international collaborations, and contributions to under-resourced language technologies, she continues to make significant strides in understanding and applying speech and language technologies. Her leadership roles in various professional organizations and editorial positions reflect her.

Topic : Bayesian Knowledge Graphs: Incorporating probabilistic information into knowledge graphs
FONI A. SETIAWAN received the Bachelor and M.S. degree in computer science. His Ph.D. degree is also in computer science from Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta, in 2019. From 2005 to 2009, he served as a software development consultant at a multinational bank in Jakarta. Since 2009, he has served as a researcher at the Research Center for Informatics, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), part of which is now the Research Center for Data and Information Science. He is the author of six books, more than 40 articles, and more than five inventions. His research interests include artificial intelligence, knowledge engineering, semantic web, and uncertainty reasoning. Dr. Setiawan is a national journals (SINTA) assessor and editor-in-chief of the Informatics Research journal (Jurnal Riset Informatika). He is a reviewer of IEEE Access, Journal of Engineering, Indonesian Journal of Articial Intelligence and Data Mining (IJAIDM), Jurnal Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi Komputer (JITK), and Krea-TIF.

Step 1 – Registration
IEEE has a No-Show policy: one of the authors or their representatives MUST present the paper at the conference. If you’ve received an email confirming your paper’s acceptance and a separate email regarding conference registration fees, there’s an important action required. Complete your registration payment for IC3INA 2024 by October 1st, 2024.
Once you’ve made your payment, solidify your registration by submitting your payment receipt at this link: https://bit.ly/ProofPaymentIC3INA24. Upon submitting the form, you’ll receive an email containing both your payment receipt and official Letter of Acceptance for your paper.

Step 4 – IEEE PDF eXpress

Papers that are not IEEE-compliant will not be included in the proceedings nor published. Please refer to the instructions provided in the https://bit.ly/IC3INA_Author_Kit for detailed guidance. Once you have completed this process, you should download the generated PDF of your final manuscript.
Step 5 – Final Manuscript & Presentation Submission
